The city of South Burlington is as much east of Burlington
as south. It curves around the city of Burlington in
a crescent. Incoporated in 1971, as the Town of South
Burlington, it has no true "downtown" center, but rather
two distinct and widely separated business districts.
Just south of busy Route 2 (Williston Road) and Dorset
Street, you'll find Vermont's largest indoor mall. On
the southern end of town is the renowned Vermont National
Country Club golf course, as well as the ice arenas,
ballfields, and rec paths of Dorset Park, a common destination
for families, student athletes, cyclists, and joggers.
